Flash scrollers and marquees
Flash is a nice looking way to create a scrolling effect.
There are some problems with Flash though... namely, it is difficult for search engines to see what is inside of it, so your content will not be parsed. That is bad.
If you don't care about this and want a really sharp looking scroller, there are a number of ways to do it without downloading flash. You can download a free application to create Flash Scrollers.
